Math Rules again!
In case you had doubts, math is fun and good for you. There was a survey conducted about the best and worst jobs in the US and being a mathematician won. This news was received with much joy in a house of two math degrees. So, push your children to enjoy their math! We (well, John) can give you lots of examples of how math is used in every day life, if you need them as your children get older or if they are older. Here is a link to the Wall Street Journal article about the survey. Remember, math is fun!

Interesting . . . Chris and I fall in at 49 and 71, respectively. . . and we both utilize math in our work!
The fact that you have to "tell" them it's fun does not give me great faith. =)
You know as both being math gurus you are facing the serious possibility of having art/theater majors in your family. =) Are you prepared for this?
Trust me - we know that Alexandra and Samantha will end up at the opposite end of the spectrum from what we do and that's fine. We just want them to know that math is not evil and they can do whatever they want - as long as they can support themselves and the job is legal and moral.
