Our neighbors

I just have to write about our neighbors. This is the first time that we have lived in a neighborhood where the neighbors talk to each other. We are really enjoying it. This week, one of our neighbors decided to mow our front yard for us. We were just finishing up dinner when we heard him start to mow. John went outside and they both mowed together. Then, our neighbor and John proceeded to mow our overgrown backyard. It was such a blessing. I have been sick, so John has been taking care of the girls more lately and hasn't had time to mow. Then, on Friday, another neighbor gave us a homemade apple pie. We have really enjoyed the apple pie. Yet another neighbor invited me (Susan) to a community women's group meeting. She made sure to show me around to the different interest group meetings and introduced to several people in the group. We feel so blessed to be in a neighborhood where people care about you and show it. They are showing us the love of Christ and are really helping us during our transition.
