Just some notes about us....

Our family has been in flux for a while it seems - the girls have been sick, I have been sick, and when our allergies haven't been affecting us, something else has been going on.  We keep wanting to plant tomatoes, but the weather (and sickness) have prevented it.  We also want to finish putting our study together (books put away, desk cleaned off, etc.), but the end of the semester and bronchitis have also prevented it.  John is almost done with the semester and hopefully, we can finish some of the projects around the house that we want to get done. 

Alexandra is growing a mile and  showing us how much she is growing.  She loves to tell us stories and regale with us the inner workings of her mind.  We are always amazed at what comes out - she makes us laugh and makes us think.  Alexandra is also showing her creative side by building block towers that I could only dream of.

Samantha is almost three feet tall and

she built this one herself.

And Samantha.... she is our loud child who isn't a big sleeper in a family of big sleepers.  She wakes up at 5:30 (6 if she sleeps in) and finds one of us, usually John to be up with her.  She too loves to build block towers, but only if someone is building with her.  She likes to build on Alexandra's towers, but her big sister doesn't like it so much.  She is starting to cuddle and hug more and more.  She is also becoming more and more definite about her opinions.  She likes to pick out her own clothes and she wants to do it herself if she can.  Samantha can put on her own shoes and 95% of the time, they are on the right feet.  She is starting to pick up her sister's bad habits, but we are working on it.
