Alexandra & Samantha

We have gotten lots of questions about how Alexandra feels about Samantha. Alexandra adores her baby sister. She tells us at least 20 times a day "This is Samantha - she's looking at me." Samantha also smiled first for Alexandra. Alexandra is ALWAYS wanting to help with Samantha - she wants to be where her baby sister is and make sure she is okay. Alexandra has been such a big helper with lots of little things. Now, Alexandra isn't so happy with John and I, but it's okay. She likes her sister and that is what matters.

Alexandra is quite the character. She has lots of her books memorized and will recite them for you. If you want to have Alexandra like you, just read to her and you are her friend. She also loves to sing. She knows all the verses to Amazing Grace and will sing them. Baby dolls has been her big thing lately, especially since we have a baby now. She has some phones to play with and she goes to her "office" where she does email, calls people, and drinks juice - her words, not ours. She also rides her toy bus to go buy gas. She is such a quirky, neat girl.

Samantha is a great sleeper. She just started smiling on a regular basis this past week. She has also started cooing and responding when we coo at her. She has changed so much in the past six weeks. She is chubbier than Alexandra was at this age, but not as long, I think. She likes to face out and look at the world. Granted, she has wonderful entertainment in her big sister.
