We didn't really do much on Christmas. In fact, due to the fact that we forgot we didn't have a meat thermometer, we had "Christmas hamburgers" for dinner (it is a favorite meal around our house). We plan on having turkey and all the fixings the day after Christmas. It was much less stressful and we think that we might make a tradition if no one else is cooking.
Alexandra really enjoyed opening up presents. She was excited to be able to open Samantha's presents too. They got an assortment of things with some presents still on the way. We just relaxed and enjoyed each other. Of course, there were the normal 3 year old issues and normal 8 month issues, but that is just typical.
We were able to attend a Christmas Eve service at our church and it was wonderful. Most of the program was music, so Alexandra really enjoyed it. She also really enjoyed that the songs were about baby Jesus. It was an excellent reminder of what Christmas is truly about.
Here are some pictures of the girls from Christmas Day. Alexandra and Samantha have matching pjs thanks to Memaw and Papaw (susan's parents). It is a tradition in Susan's family to have matching pjs.
